Qatar Today Round Table (QTRT)
The Qatar Today Round Table (QTRT), instituted by Qatar Today is an important step towards contributing to the Qatari society and increasing awareness of pertinent issues facing the nation.

To be held every quarter, QTRT will bring together stalwarts in different fields to discuss and debate about various issues ranging across thought spectrums and cutting across issues as diverse as Focus on the Education System in Qatar, GCC Monetary Union or Branding.

The first QTRT held on March 29, 2007 at Le Ciel, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha deliberated on Qatar's Education System: Lopsided Focus on White Collar Jobs.

Qatar Today Restaurant Awards
In 2004, Qatar Today initiated the first ever Restaurant Awards, considered the ultimate recognition for premium hospitality brands in the State of Qatar. These awards not only recognize and award the most popular restaurants in town, but also offer them prominent brand presence and visibility. What makes them unique is that awards are given out based on voting by Qatar Today readers, diners and food connoisseurs.
 

Qatar Today Read for a Cause
Qatar Today’s Read for a Cause is a unique charity drive that involves special magazine kiosks placed at popular locations in Qatar. Visitors and readers pay and pick up their favourite titles at the kiosks & part of the sales proceeds support-worthy charities. The programme is also a community-building initiative, and hopes to involve residents in the causes Qatar advocates.

Qatar National Cancer Society (QNCS), whose main objective is to promote awareness, early detection and treatment of cancer, is one of the beneficiaries of the Qatar Today Read for a Cause initiative.
